Merrill Lynch — one of the world’s leading wealth management, capital markets, and advisory companies — has selected Toronto as the location for a new technology center. Several hundred highly skilled professionals in the financial services and technology fields will be employed there.
Lynn Patterson, country head for Merrill Lynch Canada, said, “To expand and maintain our competitive edge, we need constant access to the world’s best pools of talent, which is why we have selected Toronto as the location for our new Technology Center.”
The center will house a number of Centers of Excellence, where technology teams will create innovative systems for such Merrill Lynch businesses as Global Data Management and Business Intelligence Solutions, Risk and Analytics Services, and Financial Futures and Options.
