Mississauga, Ontario, Provides the Talent Global Companies Need

By Susan Avery

For foreign direct investment opportunities, companies analyze a city’s strength in terms of availability of talent, strategic location, and established business and community collaboration. For this reason, Aditya Birla Minacs, a 12,000 employee-strong, international business process outsourcing company, and the largest of its kind in Canada, has opened a new facility in Mississauga.
Minacs, which has more than 26 years of experience in the customer relationship business, delivers superior outsourced solutions to Global 1000 automotive, financial services, technology, and telecom companies. It currently operates 12 other call centers in Canada and reported in January 2008 that it is nearing its target of expanding to 1,000 employees the facility located near Pearson International Airport.
“Mississauga provides us with the quality of education, infrastructure, cultural diversity, and work ethic that produces an enthusiastic employee base that can provide world-class service to our global customers. We feel limitless in what we can achieve here,” said Jeff Williams, executive vice president of Sales and Marketing for Aditya Birla Minacs.
